ANFAS

Anfas is an Emirati niche fragrance house founded by architect and perfumer Asim Al Qassim. The Arabic word Anfas means “breaths,” a name that reflects the brand's desire to preserve moments of life, emotion and cultural memory through scent. Al Qassim's architectural background can also be felt in his creative thinking, particularly in his sense of structure, balance and composition.

The central inspiration behind Anfas is Arabian culture, especially traditions of hospitality, generosity, family and human connection. The founder has linked the creation of his house to a desire to communicate the welcoming, peaceful and loving character of Emirati culture to the wider world.

Arabian heritage is therefore not merely decorative within Anfas. A fragrance concept may begin with an Arabic word, move through the emotion contained within it, and only then become an olfactory formula. This gives the house a personal, poetic and narrative character — a modern expression of the Emirates that is proud of its roots while remaining open to the world.
