Cacharel is a French brand whose history is closely connected with the youthful freedom and cultural change of the 1960s. It was founded in 1958 by Jean Bousquet, a young tailor from Nîmes who moved to Paris to build his own fashion business. A few years later, one of his lightweight crêpe blouses appeared on the cover of ELLE, bringing Cacharel widespread recognition.
