The Cerruti story begins not on a fashion runway but in the tradition of Italian textiles. The Cerruti family had been involved in weaving since the eighteenth century, and in 1881 Antonio Cerruti founded the Lanificio Cerruti textile business in Biella, Italy. In 1950, at only twenty years of age, Nino Cerruti inherited the family operation and began modernizing it, gradually moving from fabric production into finished clothing.

In 1967, Nino Cerruti established his own high-quality ready-to-wear house in Paris. One of his defining ideas was a more relaxed approach to masculine elegance: polished without stiffness, refined without heaviness. Italian sensitivity to fabric met Parisian sophistication, creating the house's distinctive Franco-Italian identity.

Its fragrance universe continues that image of an urban, confident and well-dressed individual. Cerruti luxury is based on comfort, fine materials and understated elegance rather than display.
