DR. JART+

Dr.Jart+ is a South Korean skincare brand founded in Seoul in 2005 by architect Leeo, also known as Chin Wook Lee. His route into beauty was highly unconventional. While working as an architect, Lee encountered a blemish balm available through dermatology clinics that combined skincare benefits with the visual effects of makeup. Fascinated by the hybrid idea, he began working with laboratories to reinterpret this type of treatment as an accessible at-home skincare product.

The philosophy behind the Dr.Jart+ name is “Doctor Joins Art.” The “Doctor” represents skin science, high-performance ingredients and technological innovation, while the “Art” represents design, color, unexpected packaging and the desire to make skincare an engaging creative experience.
