FENDI is one of the defining houses of Roman luxury, with a story that began in 1925. That year, Adele Casagrande and her husband Edoardo Fendi established a fur and leather workshop on Via del Plebiscito in Rome. Their five daughters later continued the family business, beginning the celebrated era of the five Fendi sisters. This sense of family continuity remains an essential element of the Maison's identity.

In 1965, the sisters appointed Karl Lagerfeld as the Maison's first Artistic Director. His arrival marked a period of much bolder experimentation with traditional materials. Lagerfeld's FF — Fun Fur concept captured a new FENDI attitude: extraordinary craftsmanship could be preserved while becoming lighter, more modern, imaginative and even playful. The house continues to define itself through this delicate balance between respect for tradition and the courage to innovate.
