FRAPIN

Frapin has an unusual story even by the standards of niche perfumery, because its roots are far older than its fragrance activity. The Frapin family settled in southwestern France as early as 1270, first as winegrowers and later as distillers and Cognac producers. This tradition has continued for more than twenty generations, with the family's vineyards located in Grande Champagne, one of the most prestigious terroirs of the Cognac region.

Culture also plays an important role in the Frapin story. The family is connected with the great French Renaissance writer François Rabelais, whose mother belonged to the Frapin family; the feather used in the house's symbolism also pays tribute to this literary heritage. Frapin therefore brings together land, wine, distillation, family memory and French culture.

In the late 2000s, the Maison extended its sensory heritage into niche fragrance. The relationship between Cognac and perfume was remarkably natural: both depend on carefully chosen materials, distillation, time, wood, maturation and olfactory memory. The Frapin fragrance universe evokes vineyards, wooden barrels, old cellars, rural France and the culture of art de vivre. Its luxury is based not on an invented legend, but on a genuinely centuries-old family heritage.
