Niche Perfume GENYUM

GENYUM is a Spanish niche fragrance brand founded by Anna Torrents in Barcelona in 2018. Rather than focusing primarily on finished works of art, the brand celebrates the people behind them — their freedom of thought, rituals, working spaces and unconventional ways of seeing the world.

The concept was born in a sculptor's studio. Iron, copper, fire-shaped metal and the transformation of raw material into artistic form inspired Torrents to explore how the atmosphere of a creative workspace could be translated into scent. Her longstanding fascination with artists and their environments became the foundation of GENYUM.

Each composition explores the universe surrounding a creator — materials, tools, gestures and the distinctive atmosphere of the studio. Florals, woods, leather, citrus and spices are used not merely for harmony, but to suggest a particular artistic environment and state of mind.

GENYUM has a varied and expressive olfactory language. Luminous floral and citrus facets can give way to darker woods, leather, mineral textures or spices, while collaborations with accomplished perfumers allow each artistic theme to develop its own personality.

Responsible production is also part of the brand's philosophy. GENYUM states that its fragrances and ingredients are not tested on animals, places strong emphasis on naturally derived materials and uses recyclable packaging produced through local suppliers.

GENYUM approaches perfume as a tribute to creative minds and bohemian freedom. Artistic courage, individuality and the almost tactile atmosphere of workshops are transformed into fragrances that celebrate not only art itself, but the personality and spirit of the person who creates it.
