For JEANNE ARTHES, a fragrance created in Grasse should preserve the culture of French perfumery while remaining accessible to a broad audience. With this philosophy, Bernard Perrin founded the brand in 1978, and by 1980 its Made-in-France fragrances were already being exported internationally.

A defining strength of the house is its direct connection to Grasse itself. A new production facility was established in the Bois de Grasse in 1995, and today Jeanne Arthes oversees multiple stages of fragrance development, from concept and formulation to production, packaging and distribution.

The olfactory palette is intentionally broad rather than tied to one rigid signature. Floral, fruity and citrus freshness can sit alongside woods, musk, amber, sweeter accords and deeper compositions. Contemporary trends are interpreted through the know-how of Grasse, with new fragrances also developed in collaboration with internationally recognized perfume houses.

Over the decades, quality and accessibility have remained central to the brand's positioning. Rather than keeping the experience of French perfumery within an exclusively luxury price segment, JEANNE ARTHES aims to offer characterful fragrances for different tastes and budgets. More concentrated and refined contemporary directions have expanded this philosophy further.
