Niche Perfume JEROBOAM

For JEROBOAM, a small bottle has never meant a quiet presence. The concept is built on contrast: highly concentrated perfume, a strong olfactory trail and a compact format designed for a mobile urban lifestyle. The house took shape in 2015 through the creative collaboration of Jovoy Paris founder François Hénin and independent perfumer Vanina Muracciole.

The story began with an experiment in musk. Hénin asked Muracciole to create a dedicated musky base so he could explore his own perception of these materials. The resulting accord proved so distinctive that what began as an olfactory exercise became the foundation of an entirely new fragrance house. Musk has remained an important connecting thread throughout the JEROBOAM universe.

JEROBOAM chose the intensity of extrait de parfum, emphasizing longevity, depth and a pronounced presence on skin. Musks are combined with woods, vanilla, florals, spices, resins, patchouli, citrus and amber-like facets, allowing the fragrances to move from clean and luminous to darker, sweeter, warmer or overtly sensual territory. Despite the variety, richness and physical presence remain recurring characteristics.

The name itself plays with scale. A jeroboam is a large wine bottle of roughly three litres, while the brand originally presented its concentrated perfumes in compact 30 ml bottles. The same idea of universality led to the use of Esperanto for fragrance names. Hénin envisioned perfume as an international language capable of crossing cultural and geographical boundaries.

JEROBOAM exists at the intersection of intensity, urban mobility and sensuality. French fragrance craftsmanship, Vanina Muracciole's musky foundations and François Hénin's playful, occasionally provocative vision create perfumes designed to make a distinct impression rather than disappear quietly into the background. All of the house's fragrances are made in France.
