KILIAN PARIS was founded by Kilian Hennessy in 2007. His family history has been linked with French Cognac culture for generations, and his childhood was shaped by the atmosphere of old cellars filled with oak barrels and the aromas of wood, alcohol and sweet evaporation. These sensory memories later became an important influence on his approach to fragrance. Yet KILIAN was never intended simply as an extension of family heritage; Hennessy created a more nocturnal, sensual and occasionally provocative interpretation of Parisian luxury.

Nightlife, seduction, extravagance and the idea of a complete fragrance wardrobe sit at the heart of the Maison. Hennessy encourages choosing scent according to mood, clothing and the personality one wants to project rather than relying on a single permanent signature. Refillable luxury is another founding principle: refillable flacons were part of the project from the beginning, expressing his belief that true luxury should be designed to last. KILIAN PARIS brings together Cognac heritage, decorative refinement, Paris after dark and the idea of fragrance as an object of desire.
