The brand entered fragrance as early as 1968, creating its first eau de toilette in collaboration with the French house Jean Patou. It was a natural extension of René Lacoste's sporting philosophy into a new sensory form.

Since 2024, Interparfums has been responsible for the creation, development, production and worldwide marketing of LACOSTE fragrances under an exclusive 15-year global licence.
