Sets LACOSTE

Lacoste was born on the tennis court. French champion René Lacoste became known as “the Crocodile” during the 1920s because of his tenacity, and the image quickly became his personal emblem. In 1933, he founded Lacoste with André Gillier and transformed tennis clothing with a lightweight, flexible petit-piqué polo that challenged conventional sportswear. The company also became one of the earliest brands to display a logo prominently on clothing.

Fragrance entered the Lacoste universe in 1968 through a collaboration with Jean Patou. It naturally continued René Lacoste's belief that sport and elegance could coexist. The brand remains associated with movement, fair play, freedom and distinctly French casual refinement, giving its fragrance identity an energetic and polished character without excessive formality.
