Born into a family of Italian origin, Laurent Mazzone developed a fascination with scent at an early age before moving between DJ culture, fashion and olfactory experimentation. In 2000, he established his own perfumery space in Grenoble, while the earliest widely documented releases of the current LM Parfums line date from 2011 onward.

Before devoting himself fully to fragrance, Mazzone built a career around fashion boutiques, where he began developing scented candles and his own fragrance ideas. The positive response encouraged him to pursue perfumery more seriously, while his encounter with Olivia Giacobetti became an important part of his creative education. This background explains why fashion, texture and scent remain closely connected throughout the LM Parfums universe.

Mazzone's creative process is driven less by trends than by lived experience. A fragrance may begin with a memory, an encounter or a particular moment he wants to preserve, while music and nightlife represent freedom, moving bodies and sensuality. Dark and mysterious themes are deliberately embraced, giving many compositions an emotional tension that can feel intimate, provocative or unexpectedly intense.

The olfactory palette ranges through woods, musk, spices, rose, oud and amber-like materials, alongside florals and fresher structures. The house places strong emphasis on fine raw materials, richly constructed formulas and lasting compositions, including work with materials associated with the Robertet Group. What connects the fragrances is not a repeated set of notes, but a preference for strong personality, depth and sensual presence.

New York also plays an important role in the visual identity: the architectural lines of the bottles were inspired by the city's skyline and its buildings at night.
