The floral richness of Grasse and the splendour of hand-decorated bottles are two sides of the same creative vision at M.MICALLEF. The house was founded in Grasse in 1996 by Martine Micallef and Geoffrey Nejman, built around the idea of bringing art and perfume together. Martine's artistic sensibility and Geoffrey's fascination with fragrance materials shaped a family project in which the scent and its visual presentation were conceived as a unified work.

Grasse remains central to the house's creative identity. M.MICALLEF emphasizes fine raw materials, including the exceptional flowers associated with the region, while combining French perfume tradition with a freer contemporary outlook. Travel to the Middle East also influenced the house early on, encouraging an exploration of oud and richer oriental materials at a time when these notes were still relatively unusual within French artistic perfumery.

Its olfactory palette has since expanded considerably. Floral, solar, gourmand, woody, spicy and sensual structures coexist, allowing Grasse flowers to meet vanilla-like warmth, musk, woods, resins and deeper oriental facets. What connects these different directions is not one repeated formula, but a preference for rich materials, elegance and compositions with a distinctive presence.

The house is equally recognizable for its jewel-like bottles. Designed by Martine Micallef, selected flacons are hand-painted and decorated in the Grasse workshops with crystals, gold detailing and ornamental metalwork. This transforms perfume into both a sensory creation and a collectible decorative object, preserving the artisanal individuality that has distinguished the house since its early years.

Since 2023, M.MICALLEF has entered a new generational chapter, with a younger team carrying forward the heritage established by Martine Micallef and Geoffrey Nejman. The house is now present in around 75 countries through 900 points of sale, while continuing to emphasize its Grasse roots, creative freedom and craftsmanship. Together, these qualities define a style of French perfumery that is expressive, sensual and unmistakably artistic.
