Niche Perfume MARC-ANTOINE BARROIS

Marc-Antoine Barrois began in fashion. In 2004, at only twenty, his work was noticed by French couturier Dominique Sirop, bringing the young designer into the world of Parisian couture. He later collaborated with Jean Paul Gaultier at Hermès. Those experiences shaped his understanding of fine materials, tailoring and objects intended to retain value over time. In 2009, Barrois founded his own couture house, developing an idea of luxury that is discreet, personal and grounded in meticulous craft rather than obvious display.

The decisive moment in the fragrance story came in 2015, when Barrois met perfumer Quentin Bisch. They immediately discovered a shared fascination with leather, forests, fresh flowers, beautiful materials and understated luxury. Their working method is highly collaborative: Barrois communicates emotions, images and imagined worlds, while Bisch translates them into olfactory structures. Fashion and fragrance therefore follow the same logic within the Maison—restraint, high-quality materials, a clear authorial point of view and a desire to create objects that can exist beyond short-lived trends.
