ORLOV PARIS

Orlov Paris is a French niche fragrance house created by Ruth Séry and Thomas Méaulle around the meeting of two worlds that both depend on rare materials, light and precision: diamonds and fine perfumery. The Maison made its international debut in 2015. Ruth Séry is a gemologist trained at HRD Antwerp, a leading European center for diamond and gemological expertise, while Thomas Méaulle brought a background in finance and business development. Their concept was to approach perfume almost as one approaches a precious stone — through quality, character, structure, rarity and the play of light.

Perfumer Dominique Ropion played a central role in the house's first creative chapter. Ruth had realized that several fragrances she particularly admired shared the same perfumer, leading her to seek Ropion when developing the Maison. The wider Orlov Paris universe is built around precious stones, with its earliest collection drawing directly on the histories and personalities of celebrated diamonds. Even the house name refers to the historic Orlov diamond, associated with Russian imperial history and now mounted in the Imperial Sceptre.

Orlov Paris approaches luxury through an almost jewelry-like logic. Fragrance becomes an olfactory gemstone — polished, multifaceted, luminous and designed to reveal itself gradually. It is a highly decorative and refined interpretation of Parisian niche perfumery in which gemstone culture is not merely packaging inspiration but the organizing idea of the Maison itself.
