Women's fragrances TIFFANY & CO

Tiffany & Co. is one of America's most important luxury houses. It was founded in New York in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young as a small stationery and fancy-goods store. Charles Lewis Tiffany gradually transformed the business into a major jewelry house, placing particular emphasis on diamonds, sterling silver and the development of an American design language that could stand apart from the heavier ceremonial codes of Victorian Europe. In 1845, Tiffany issued an early American direct-mail catalog, and in 1851 it became the first American company to adopt the .925 sterling-silver standard. By the later nineteenth century, the house had achieved international recognition through rare gemstones, innovation and exceptional craftsmanship. Tiffany Blue and the famous presentation box eventually became cultural symbols in their own right.

A defining quality of Tiffany is the combination of American clarity and technical precision with the standards of high jewelry craftsmanship. The house has played an important role in the history of American jewelry and silver design. In 1902, founder Charles Lewis Tiffany's son Louis Comfort Tiffany became the company's first official design director, expanding its artistic vocabulary through Art Nouveau, naturalistic forms and an extraordinary sensitivity to color and light. Nature, brilliance, precision of cut, material purity and the symbolism of love remain central to Tiffany & Co. today. The Maison is currently part of LVMH and continues to operate primarily as a house of high jewelry, watches and luxury accessories.

Fragrance developed much later as an extension of this jewelry universe. An important modern chapter began with Tiffany & Co.'s fragrance agreement with Coty in 2016, followed by a new global fragrance launch in 2017. Even in scent, the house translates jewelry codes into another medium: bottle architecture draws on diamond cutting, while the fragrance identity uses archival floral imagery, luminosity and the unmistakable Tiffany visual world. Tiffany & Co. remains included in Coty's current 2026 prestige brand portfolio. Its fragrance activity is therefore best understood as a sensory extension of a New York jewelry house whose broader language has always revolved around light, precision, craftsmanship and expressions of love.
