Angelo Orazio Pregoni is an Italian independent perfumer, artist, and founder of the niche brand O'Driu. He was born on November 6, 1970, in Genoa into an Italian-Argentinian family. He holds a degree in anthropology and has worked in ethnology.
In 1996, he founded O'Driù and released his first fragrance, Lombroso. For many years, he focused on artistic and external projects before returning in 2011 with a collection of ten fragrances.
This collection included various styles: fougère (Londa 1005, Londa 1006), spicy (Lafro, Laltrove 1001), oriental (Lalfeogrigio, Laltrove 1002, Linfedele 1004), woody (Vis et Honor, Linfedele 1003), and floral chypre (Lalfeorosa).
In the following years, Pregoni continued to release new creations, and today the brand’s portfolio includes around 70 fragrances. Among the most popular are Ta, Linfedele Haiku, and Lalfeorosa.
He has also collaborated with brands such as Bepolar and Parfumerie Bruckner, for which he created Purple Fig (2016).
Pregoni is also known for his artistic performances. He founded the Nouse Art movement, presenting fragrances through live performances. In 2011, he introduced Lumore in Naples, and in 2012 held the Perfhumance event in Rome, dedicated to Italian artists. Later that year, he performed Intimate Apparent in Amsterdam, creating fragrances live.
Among his recent works is the unisex fragrance Morfosis (2019).
