Annick Menardo

Annick Menardo is a highly acclaimed French master perfumer known for creating a number of iconic fragrances. From an early age, she was interested in science and psychiatry, but her passion for perfumery led her to pursue a degree in chemistry and graduate from ISIPCA.

She began her career as an intern at Creations Aromatiques under the guidance of Michel Almairac. There, she developed her distinctive style—precise, demanding, and slightly rebellious, with carefully selected notes that create memorable and unexpected compositions.

In 1991, she joined Firmenich, where she created many successful fragrances for well-known brands, including Boss (Hugo Boss) and Hypnotic Poison (Dior). Her creations are known for their strong identity and signature character.

Menardo draws inspiration from nature and emotions. Her approach to perfumery focuses on precision and diffusion, aiming to create unique signatures that resonate with wearers. Her fragrances often feature fresh, juicy, and floral notes.

She has collaborated with many brands, with her work for Lolita Lempicka being particularly notable. She created the brand’s first iconic fragrance and later worked on L’Eau Jolie, a fresh and natural scent built around spring flowers and fruity nuances, described as feminine, delicate, and sensual.
