Antoine Lie is a renowned French perfumer who has made a significant impact on the fragrance industry. Born in Strasbourg, he studied chemistry before pursuing his passion for perfumery. He later moved to Grasse, where he trained following the methods of Jean Carles and worked with Jean Guichard.
During his career, he worked in France and the United States, contributing to well-known fragrances such as Armani Code (Giorgio Armani) and Crystal Noir (Versace).
Seeking greater creative freedom, he moved into niche perfumery, where he could fully express his artistic vision. He worked at Givaudan and later became a senior perfumer at Takasago.
Today, he is the founder and perfumer behind ALOE - Antoine Lie Olfactive Experience, based in Paris.
He has collaborated with brands such as Etat Libre d'Orange, oneofthose, and Nu Be, creating bold and unconventional fragrances.
His creations are known for their distinctive use of materials like vetiver, leather, iris, and sandalwood, as well as unconventional notes such as vinyl and metallic accords.
In addition to creating fragrances, he develops bespoke scents, consults on brand olfactory identity, and explores innovative raw materials, continuously pushing the boundaries of perfumery.
