Arturetto Landi is a senior perfumer at MANE in Dubai, with a distinguished career spanning multiple countries and cities. He initially pursued a career in chemistry, but a chance job at a fragrance company in England led him into the world of perfumery.
This experience sparked his passion for scents, leading him to train at H&R in Holzminden and later work in New York, Paris, Tokyo, Vienna, and Dubai.
Growing up on the Italian Riviera and influenced by his father, a chef, Landi developed a love for sensual and complex compositions. He draws inspiration both from his past and from distant cultures, particularly the scents of Arabia. His creations are luxurious, rich, and composed like a symphony for the nose.
Recently, he launched his own brand, PROFUMI D'ART, a long-time dream. He introduced a new approach to perfumery, packaging, and fragrance usage inspired by the coffee industry. His line is designed for a global audience, with one fragrance, ART04, specifically oriented toward the Middle Eastern market.
Landi’s fascination with agarwood (oud), discovered during his first visit to the Middle East 25 years ago, led him to master the use of rare and precious materials. He prefers warm, woody, and leathery oud profiles, avoiding overly animalic notes.
According to Landi, the qualities that define a great perfumer are humility, patience, imagination, passion, and the ability to recognize beauty.
