Beatrice Piquet

Beatrice Piquet was a highly skilled French perfumer who left a lasting impact on the fragrance industry. She was born on September 27, 1963, in Eaubonne, France, and passed away on March 1, 2010, in Nanterre after a long illness.

At the age of 17, she joined International Flavors & Fragrances as a laboratory assistant and worked her way up to senior perfumer. During her time at IFF, she collaborated with renowned perfumers such as Max Gavarry, Jean-Pierre Mary, and Alain Astori, completing six years of training under Mary and Astori.

Piquet was a prolific creator. Her portfolio includes Bulgari Petits et Mamans, Aroma Tonic for Lancôme (with Alain Astori), Armani Emporio Night Him (with Yves Cassar), Sun for Men for Jil Sander, and many others.

She worked with leading fashion and fragrance houses including Salvatore Ferragamo, Benetton, Oscar de la Renta, Christian Dior, Guerlain, and Hugo Boss.

She was known for creating fragrances that were both elegant and modern, with unique combinations of ingredients that made her work distinctive and memorable worldwide.

Beyond her professional achievements, she was admired for her humility and dedication. When asked about her dream fragrance, she said: “I hope I never find it, because that would mean everything is finished.”

Her contribution to the fragrance industry was significant, and her passing was deeply felt. She is remembered for her passion, creativity, and devotion to the art of perfumery.
