Bruno Jovanovic is a French perfumer who has established himself in the fragrance industry. His love for perfumery began at a young age, when he became fascinated by the scents around him. He earned a degree in physics and chemistry from Pierre and Marie Curie University and later studied at ISIPCA, graduating with honors.
Bruno spent more than 20 years between New York City and Paris, creating some of the most renowned fragrances for leading perfume houses. He successfully bridged the American dream with the myth of French perfumery, and his work reflects his deep passion for scent.
Both an intellectual and an artist, Bruno draws inspiration from artists and philosophers alike. He deconstructs and simplifies his ideas to reach their essence. He also considers the role of time—its impact on the maturation of raw materials and their final olfactory form. His motto, borrowed from Immanuel Kant, is: “Beauty is universal and has no concept.”
Bruno is known for his clear and minimalist approach, limiting the number of raw materials he uses to create fragrances that are both artistic and emotional.
Among his notable creations is Monsieur for Editions de Parfums Frédéric Malle, as well as fragrances for Dries Van Noten.
His passion for perfumery continues to inspire him to create modern and innovative fragrances while preserving the classical elegance of the craft.
