Niche Perfume from Christophe Raynaud

“I am a craftsman with the sensitivity of an artist,” says Christophe Raynaud, a perfumer passionate about fragrances. His addiction to scents has led him to create some of the most popular perfumes in the industry. For him, perfumery is a universe, and fragrance is his addiction.

Starting from a raw form—an olfactory block—Raynaud works for hours to shape his creation like a craftsman or a sculptor. “First, I am an architect, then I become a craftsman,” he explains. His fragrances stand out for their presence and radiance, reflecting his unique perspective on the art of perfumery.

Raynaud’s desire to become a perfumer began at an early age. As a teenager, he dreamed of creating a brand with his childhood friend, designing clothing and perfumes. “It happened a few years later,” he says, having fulfilled his dream.

“As a perfumer, I see myself as a craftsman with the sensitivity of an artist,” Raynaud continues. “A craftsman has precise mastery and expertise tied to their craft, which hardly needs defining. An artist expresses sensitivity, creative freedom, a concept of art, and unique inspiration. In this sense, a perfumer is both an artist and a craftsman.”

With a career spanning several prestigious fragrance houses and collaborations with top brands, Raynaud has left his mark on the industry. His creations, including Paco Rabanne 1 Million, Lancôme La Nuit Trésor, and Mugler Aura Mugler, are loved by millions of people worldwide.
