Harry Fremont is a well-known master perfumer who has created some of the most iconic fragrances in the industry. Born in Cannes, France, he developed an early interest in scents due to the city’s rich perfumery heritage. His passion led him to the prestigious ISIPCA school in Versailles, where he received formal training in the art of perfumery.
After graduating from ISIPCA, Fremont joined Firmenich, one of the world’s leading fragrance houses. He quickly established himself as a promising talent and was awarded the prestigious Société Technique des Parfumeurs de France prize in both 1984 and 1985. He later spent three years at Firmenich’s Geneva headquarters before moving to the company’s New York office in 1987.
During his time at Firmenich, Fremont collaborated with major brands including Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Estée Lauder, Lancôme, and Vera Wang. He created award-winning fragrances such as Kenneth Cole Black, which won the 2004 FiFi Award for Men’s Fragrance of the Year, and Juicy Couture, which won the 2007 FiFi Award for Women’s Luxury Fragrance of the Year.
In 2017, Fremont received the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Fragrance Foundation in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the fragrance industry.
His fragrances are known for their unique, refined, and often unexpected combinations of ingredients. He has a special talent for creating scents that evoke emotions and moods, ranging from playful and energetic to sensual and mysterious.
In addition to his work as a master perfumer, he mentors aspiring perfumers and continues to inspire the next generation of fragrance creators.
