Jacques Flori is a highly respected perfumer who has created some of the industry’s most beloved fragrances. He was born in France and initially showed an interest in medicine, but eventually left school to pursue his passion for yachting. However, he later fell in love with perfumery and dedicated his life to the art of fragrance creation.
Flori’s journey in perfumery began when he was taken under the mentorship of Jean Maubert, owner of the fragrance house Robertet. Maubert guided him, teaching the techniques and skills required to create beautiful fragrances. Under his mentorship, Flori quickly developed into a talented perfumer.
Over the years, he has worked with many prestigious brands, including Acqua Reale, Amouage, Chacok, Etro, Jovoy Paris, M.INT, Orens, Parfums de Marly, Reminiscence, and Xerjoff. He is especially known for his mastery in creating complex and refined incense-based compositions.
Flori has created many acclaimed fragrances, including Xerjoff Bouquet Ideale, Jovoy Paris Psychedelique, Pierre Balmain Ivoire, Jovoy Paris La Liturgie des Heures, and Amouage The Library Collection Opus IV. His work is highly regarded within the industry.
In addition to his perfumery work, he is known for his cheerful personality and willingness to mentor and teach younger perfumers. He enjoys collaborating with people who share his passion for fragrance creation.
His love for the sea, mountains, and horses often influences his creations, giving them a strong connection to nature. At Robertet, he values the creative freedom that allows him to bring his ideas to life.
