Jean-Claude Delville is a highly respected perfumer in the fragrance industry, known for his innovative creations and unique creative vision. He was born in Paris, France, and began his journey in perfumery at the age of 17. His passion for blending floral notes, musical inspiration, and creative composition led him into the world of fragrance.
Throughout his career, he has worked at several prestigious perfume houses, including Quest, Creations Aromatiques, IFF, Firmenich, Symrise, and Drom. He has created numerous acclaimed fragrances for major brands such as Jean Couturier, Grès, Givenchy, Kenzo, Marc Jacobs, Jo Malone, and Vera Wang.
His creation Clinique Happy (1998) became such a success that he was inducted into the Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame in 2014.
Despite his success, he remains humble and grounded. He attributes much of his creative inspiration to travel and cultural exploration, which help him craft fragrances that capture emotion and cultural essence.
In 2017, he co-founded The Society of Scent, an innovative digital platform dedicated to fragrance culture, featuring its own laboratory based in the South Bronx, New York.
He continues to push the boundaries of perfumery, creating fragrances that tell stories and evoke deep emotions.
