Karine Dubreuil-Sereni was born and raised in Grasse, the symbolic capital of perfumery. She was surrounded by the magical scents of jasmine, orange blossom, mimosa, rose, iris, anise, and citrus from childhood, which deeply inspired her. Karine's education in perfumery began at the prestigious Roure Bertrand Dupont (now Givaudan), where she developed her passion for fragrance creation.
Throughout her career, Karine has worked at various renowned fragrance houses, including Florasynth, Drom, and Mane. She is currently part of the Vox Profumi team. During her illustrious career, Karine has created iconic scents for prestigious brands such as Gucci, Azzaro, and Givenchy. Some of her most famous creations include Lanvin Eclat d'Arpège, Gucci Pour Homme II, and Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Shine.
For Karine, creativity means being open to the world and embracing curiosity. Her approach to perfumery is deeply rooted in her childhood memories of Grasse and the evocative scents that surrounded her. She is known for her original combinations, fresh and bold character, and her love for sandalwood.
Karine draws inspiration from travels, plants, delicious food, and raw materials. Art also plays a significant role in her creative process, particularly the works of Belarusian artist Roman Zaslonov. His vibrant paintings inspire the woody and amber mixes she often incorporates into her perfumes. Karine has also showcased her talent by creating fragrances for Bon Parfumeur and designing scented candles, demonstrating her versatility in the world of olfactory experiences.
