The history of the French niche fragrance brand Affinessence begins in 2013. It was founded by Sophie Bruno, who had been fascinated by the wonderful world of perfumery since childhood. Later, after earning two higher education degrees, she decided to dedicate her life to creating fragrances.
For many years, she worked with some of the world’s most renowned brands, such as Yves Rocher and Lorience, mastering all the subtleties of perfume creation. However, since every brand has its own philosophy and concept, and Sophie had many personal ideas she deeply dreamed of bringing to life, she created her own brand under the name Affinessence.
The brand’s main concept is the use of rare, high-quality, and exclusively natural ingredients of natural origin. This is also reflected in the brand’s name, as affinity translates to “spiritual connection, closeness, similarity.”
This is exactly what all the brand’s fragrances embody — closeness to nature and to the true essence of the wearer. They are gender-neutral, because, as Sophie Bruno says, what truly matters are the emotions and feelings a fragrance evokes as it touches the human soul, rather than gender identity.
