Niche Perfume BEAUFORT

BeauFort London is an independent British niche brand founded by musician Leo Crabtree in 2013. Its creative universe was shaped by early experiences at sea, an interest in British history and a fascination with the elemental forces of nature. Interestingly, the project did not begin with perfume at all; its first product was a handmade men's grooming item before the concept gradually evolved into an artistic fragrance house.

Smoke lies at the center of BeauFort's olfactory language. The house refers to the Latin roots of the word perfume — per fumum, “through smoke” — and uses smoke as a symbol of memory, fire, maritime danger, history and the unknown. The resulting aesthetic is dark, dramatic and almost cinematic. British heritage is approached not through polite nostalgia but through storms, gunpowder, the sea and the atmosphere of adventure.
