HUGO BOSS

HUGO BOSS is a historic German fashion company founded by Hugo Ferdinand Boss in Metzingen in 1924. Its early history also contains a difficult chapter. The company operated during the Third Reich, and according to the independent historical study commissioned and published by HUGO BOSS, its factory used 140 forced laborers and 40 French prisoners of war during the conflict. The modern company has formally expressed profound regret to those who suffered at the factory under National Socialist rule. Following the war, the business was gradually rebuilt and increasingly focused on men's suits during the 1950s.

During the 1960s and 1970s, the next generation transformed the company into a modern menswear business, while BOSS became associated internationally with high-quality masculine tailoring.
