ISABEY PARIS

The art, decorative opulence and modern spirit of 1920s Paris provided the setting in which ISABEY PARIS was born. Established in 1924 with the support of Baron Henri James de Rothschild, the house took its name from the celebrated French painter Jean-Baptiste Isabey. It quickly became known not only for fragrance, but also for artistic bottles and jewel-like presentation that reflected the luxury of its era.

Perfume and decorative art were inseparable from the beginning. Artists and designers including Julien Viard and René Lalique contributed to the house's visual heritage, while master glassmaker Ludwig Moser created one of its enduring bottle designs. For ISABEY, fragrance has therefore always been conceived as a complete artistic object, with equal attention paid to scent, form and presentation.

Historical circumstances forced the house to close in 1941. A new chapter began in 1999, when Maison Isabey Paris was acquired by Panouge Group. Under Creative Director Rania Naim, the archive has been revived through contemporary interpretations that preserve the glamour of the 1920s without simply reproducing the past.

White flowers occupy a particularly important place in the ISABEY olfactory palette. Gardenia, jasmine, tuberose and lily appear alongside rose, freesia and other florals, often creating rich and sensual structures. Woods, resins and warmer facets can add depth, giving classical floral elegance a more textured and contemporary expression.

Today's creations emerge through Rania Naim's collaboration with accomplished perfumers, allowing the historical identity of the house to evolve through different creative voices. ISABEY PARIS remains defined by the meeting of Parisian haute perfumery, Art Deco refinement, luxurious florals and modern sophistication — a dialogue between heritage and renewal that has shaped the house for more than a century.
