JACQUES FATH

Jacques Fath was one of the defining figures of postwar French haute couture. Born in 1912, Fath opened his first couture house in Paris in 1937 and quickly became known for a youthful, dynamic and glamorous interpretation of femininity. His approach felt lighter and more celebratory than the heavily formal elegance of earlier fashion, and several designers who later founded important houses began their careers in his atelier. The spirit of joie de vivre became an essential part of the Jacques Fath identity.

Fragrance entered his creative universe in 1945 as a natural extension of fashion and personal style. After Fath's death, the Maison gradually became less active, but Panouge Group acquired Jacques Fath Parfums in 2008 and began restoring its heritage. Under contemporary creative director Rania Naim, the house collaborates with independent perfumers while preserving the qualities most closely associated with Fath himself: youth, audacity, Parisian elegance and a joyful approach to luxury.
