JACQUES FATH

In 1940s Paris, the creative world of JACQUES FATH was defined by movement, youth and a daring vision of femininity. Jacques Fath had opened his couture house in 1937, and by 1945 fragrance had become a natural extension of his aesthetic universe. The early perfumes carried the same lively, theatrical sense of glamour that distinguished his fashion.

Fragrance was never treated as a secondary accessory. Working with perfumer Vincent Roubert, Fath helped shape an olfactory language that combined experimentation with classical French craftsmanship. Citrus freshness, green and aromatic facets, iris, florals, woods and softer sensual textures became important elements of the historical style.

After Jacques Fath's death in 1954, the original era of the house came to an end, but its fragrance heritage retained a strong reputation. A new chapter began in 2008, when Jacques Fath Parfums was revived by Panouge Group. The goal was not simply to reproduce the past, but to reinterpret Fath's spirit of youth, talent and joie de vivre through contemporary perfumery.

From 2016 onward, Creative Director Rania Naim developed a more cohesive modern direction in collaboration with independent and established perfumers. Her approach draws on rich floral memories, particularly white flowers, as well as precious woods, green and aromatic materials and an interest in contemporary structures. The archive acts as a source of inspiration rather than a creative restriction.

Modern JACQUES FATH perfumery brings together the precision of haute couture, the lightness of Parisian style and a more daring authorial approach. Its fragrances may move through fresh green, floral, powdery, woody or resinous territory, yet the central idea remains consistent: to create elegant, dynamic compositions with personality while maintaining a meaningful dialogue with the house's heritage.
