Niche Perfume JOVOY PARIS

The story of Jovoy Paris unfolds across two very different eras. The original Maison was founded in Paris in 1923 by Blanche Arvoy before gradually disappearing and remaining largely forgotten for more than eight decades. In 2010, traveler and fragrance entrepreneur François Hénin decided to bring Jovoy back to life. His earlier career had included direct experience with aromatic materials and distillation, including work in Vietnam, giving him an unusually hands-on relationship with fragrance ingredients.

The revived Jovoy became both a fragrance Maison and an important center of Parisian niche-perfume culture. Its boutiques are often described as the “Embassy of rare perfumes,” bringing together independent houses, unusual perfumers and less conventional olfactory ideas. Jovoy's own creative language combines Hénin's travels, fascination with expressive materials and appreciation for strong fragrance personalities with modern Parisian elegance. It represents niche luxury as a culture of discovery and curiosity rather than exclusivity for its own sake.
