LORENZO VILLORESI

Lorenzo Villoresi is one of the important figures in independent Italian haute perfumery. After studying philosophy and spending years traveling, he founded his Maison in Florence in 1990. The Middle East had a particularly profound influence on him, introducing him to ancient cultures, spices, incense, resins and historic scent traditions. Before establishing the house, Villoresi also worked extensively with custom-made fragrance.

The Maison still maintains an independent, almost Renaissance-workshop mentality, handling many stages of creation internally. Its boutique and perfume museum, set within a Renaissance palazzo in Florence, extend fragrance into a complete cultural experience. Villoresi's style is cosmopolitan yet profoundly Tuscan, bringing philosophy, travel, Eastern materials and Florentine craftsmanship together.
