A childhood spent among the hills of Florence, close contact with nature and later journeys through the Middle East shaped the distinctive fragrance world of LORENZO VILLORESI. While studying philosophy, Lorenzo Villoresi became fascinated by ancient Egyptian, Jewish and Mesopotamian cultures, and his travels east introduced him to an extraordinary variety of spices, resins and aromatic materials. After years of research, experimentation and creating bespoke scents, he founded his own perfume house in Florence in 1990.

For Villoresi, perfumery is an imaginative territory without rigid boundaries. Cultures, landscapes, markets and plants encountered during his travels are transformed into memories and sensations rather than literal olfactory illustrations. Eastern influences meet the nature of Tuscany and the cultural atmosphere of Florence, producing a style that feels both classical and deeply personal.

The olfactory palette is particularly rich in spices, woods, resins, musk, florals, aromatic herbs and citrus. Some compositions lean toward warmth, depth and oriental richness, while others explore transparency, greenery and Mediterranean freshness. The same material may take on very different moods, reflecting Villoresi's interest in character and association rather than strict fragrance categories.

Craftsmanship remains central to the house. Production is still carried out internally, with meticulous attention given to materials, blending and quality throughout the creative process. The same understated philosophy appears in the signature hexagonal bottles, which express the house's idea of personal luxury rather than overt display.

Today, LORENZO VILLORESI remains closely connected to its founder's individual vision. In Florence, the house also extends its interest beyond perfume creation toward the broader culture of scent, raw materials, aromatic plants and perfume history.
