The peak of the LORIS AZZARO fashion house’s fame dates back to the 1970s, when it was warmly loved and promoted by world-renowned beauties such as Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren. Time passed and everything changed, yet the demand for LORIS AZZARO clothing and fragrances remained consistently high, especially among celebrities and high society circles.
The brand’s founder, Loris Azzaro, was born into a family of native Italians who deeply cherished the history and traditions of their homeland, striving to pass this love on to their son. This strongly influenced the formation of his taste and later shaped his creative collections.
After graduating from the University of Toulouse, the young and inspired designer moved to Paris—the capital of fashion—to conquer the industry. Just two years later, he founded his own fashion house at the age of only 32. Although he never created haute couture garments, the number of celebrities seeking to wear his creations was always significant.
Taking advantage of his popularity, LORIS AZZARO expanded into accessories, handbags, and footwear. In 1975, he also introduced his first men’s fragrance to the world, perfectly complementing his fashion creations and embodying the image of a successful, creative man.
Azzaro continued to create masterpiece after masterpiece—different in style, yet unified by the power of love and beauty.
