Niche Perfume MEO FUSCIUNI

In MEO FUSCIUNI perfumery, a journey begins not with a point on a map but with a memory. Sicilian-born Giuseppe Imprezzabile, who works under the creative name Meo Fusciuni, came to fragrance through studies connected with chemistry, plants, anthropology and ethnobotany. Travel and encounters with different olfactory cultures gradually turned a personal fascination into a profession, and from 2010 Meo Fusciuni developed as an independent Italian artistic perfume house.

For Imprezzabile, fragrance is a way of preserving memory, almost like a page from an intimate diary in which journeys, literature, music and lived emotions become tangible. The creative process may begin with a word, a piece of writing or an inner image long before a formula takes shape. Perfume is therefore treated less as an accessory and more as storytelling, self-exploration and, at times, a form of meditation.

His botanical background and extensive travels are strongly reflected in the olfactory palette. Incense, resins, woods, vetiver, patchouli, leather, spices and musk can meet florals, citrus, green materials, tea-like facets and marine freshness. Some compositions move into dark, smoky and introspective territory, while others feel more luminous and open, yet the materials are almost always handled in an emotionally layered way.

Speed is not central to the MEO FUSCIUNI process. Giuseppe Imprezzabile personally composes every fragrance in his atelier in Italy, while individual ideas may develop through years of reflection, writing, travel and experimentation. He works with carefully selected natural and contemporary synthetic materials sourced internationally, seeking a balance between the chemical structure of perfumery and the more poetic dimension of lived experience.

Today, the creative heart of the house is located in the historic centre of Sarzana, where Giuseppe and his partner Federica Castellani continue to shape the independent project. What distinguishes MEO FUSCIUNI is this deeply personal approach: fragrance is not created merely to smell beautiful, but to become a language for travel, love, silence, darkness, nature and the memories that continue to shape identity.
