NASOMATTO

Nasomatto approaches fragrance as something that cannot be completely controlled. Its creator, Italian perfumer Alessandro Gualtieri, allows the creative process to develop intuitively, believing that a perfume can begin to take on a direction and personality of its own. This experimental philosophy is central to the distinctive character of the house.

The project was established in Amsterdam, while its fragrances are made in Italy. Rather than explaining every composition through detailed note lists, Gualtieri prefers to communicate an idea, sensation, or state of mind. The wearer is therefore invited to experience each perfume without being given a fixed interpretation in advance.

Nasomatto fragrances are generally bold, concentrated, and highly expressive. Their character can move from dark and sensual to woody, smoky, intimate, or unexpectedly contrasting.
