Unisex OLFACTIVE STUDIO

Olfactive Studio is a French niche fragrance house launched in Paris by Céline Verleure in September 2011. Before establishing her own project, Verleure spent years in the fragrance industry, including at Kenzo Parfums, where she learned the perfume-development process and worked alongside prominent perfumers. She later created an online platform for fragrance enthusiasts, traveled extensively through Asia and South America, and lived for a period in Rio de Janeiro. When she decided to return to perfume creation, she developed the future Maison partly through an online community, with more than 5,600 participants contributing to the project.

The defining Olfactive Studio idea is the encounter between perfume and artistic photography. Creation frequently begins with an image whose atmosphere, light, color, space and emotion are translated into scent by a perfumer. The Maison therefore brings together two independent creative voices — photographer and perfumer — with Céline Verleure acting as the connection between them. From the beginning, the house also resisted rigid masculine and feminine classifications, treating fragrance as an artistic creation with a personality and “soul” of its own.

Olfactive Studio feels distinctly contemporary, intellectual and visual. Rather than inventing the mythology of an old French Maison, it represents twenty-first-century artistic perfumery, combining photography, travel, memory and authorial fragrance creation. Its luxury lies less in ornament than in the strength of an idea: transforming a single image into an entire sensory world.
