The name Room 1015 comes from room 1015 of the Hyatt Hotel in Los Angeles, a legendary place for fans of rock ’n’ roll history. In the 1970s, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and other musicians hosted their famous wild parties there, embodying the spirit of rock culture and the era’s free-spirited lifestyle.
Michel Partouche, a former pharmacist from Paris, decided to pay tribute to this iconic place. The Room 1015 collection currently includes three fragrances: Electric Wood, inspired by the Gibson guitar his father gave him for his 12th birthday; Atramental, which smells like a tattoo studio filled with ink and antiseptic notes; and Blomā Cult, which evokes the sensual world of the 1970s, sex, hippie culture, and absolute freedom. Blomā Cult is a sensual, animalic fragrance with a strong dose of patchouli and musk, inspired by psychedelic music, hippies, and their free spirit.
Michel himself is as distinctive as his creations. With long black hair, a cap, and tattoos, he does not resemble a traditional pharmacist at all. He explains that he quickly grew tired of laboratory work and test tubes, so he created a rock band and moved to London to perform on stage. After five years in music, he left that path and met perfumers Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel, which eventually led him into the world of perfumery.
