Antonio Visconti

Antonio Visconti is an Italian perfumer, creative director, and founder of the niche brands Antonio Visconti and Royal Crown. He descends from the Visconti family, which owned a major leather production business in Florence since the early 19th century.

In 1857, his ancestor Averardo Visconti opened a salon on Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris, becoming a key supplier of gloves and leather goods for the French aristocracy and expanding the business internationally. In the early 20th century, production moved to Grasse, where Antonio was later born.

Growing up close to the perfume industry, he developed an early understanding of raw materials, production processes, and fragrance composition. He later launched his own brand, Antonio Visconti, creating high-end bespoke fragrances.

Today, the brand’s collection includes around 30 fragrances. Among the most popular are Coeur de Vanille (gourmand vanilla), Terre de Feu (woody), Tabarom (tobacco-floral), and Bois de Gayac (spicy, sandalwood-based).

In 2008, he introduced a new project, Royal Crown. In 2011, the debut collection of seven fragrances was released. In 2018, he launched one of the brand’s bestsellers, Sultan, an oriental composition featuring fruity and floral notes with saffron, myrrh, sandalwood, and oud.

Today, Visconti manages his brands together with his daughters, Valentina and Nicoletta. Among his recent releases is the Imperial collection within the Royal Crown line.
