Ben Gorham

Ben Gorham is a Swedish entrepreneur and the creative director of the niche fragrance brand Byredo. He was born to an Indian actress and a Canadian painter. After his parents separated, he spent his childhood in New York, Toronto, and Stockholm.

He was a professional basketball player, but after his contract ended, he returned to Stockholm and enrolled in an art college.

At a contemporary art exhibition showcasing his work, he met perfumer Pierre Wulff, who suggested that fragrances are more effective than paintings at evoking emotions. Inspired by this idea, Gorham began studying the basics of perfumery.
