Try Me from Benoit Bergia

Benoit was born and raised in Grasse in a family of hereditary perfumers. His great-great-grandfather was one of the few owners of plantations in the south of France, where some of the finest perfume ingredients were cultivated and later used by the most renowned perfume houses.

His father, Henri Bergia, is a well-known perfumer. Immersed in the secrets of perfumery from an early age, Benoit graduated from the prestigious ASFO school and built his career as a specialist in raw materials.

“For me, perfumery is emotion. It is not a technical combination of ingredients and formulas, but what happens inside a person—their feelings, thoughts, and desires. Perfumery is not just about ‘making’ a fragrance; it is true art, the creation of something new. That is why I believe a perfumer should be called not just a ‘Nose,’ but rather a Creator.”
