Carmita Magalhaes

Carmita Magalhães is a perfumer at Firmenich, a leading global company in the fragrance industry. She was born in France to a Portuguese family, but has been living in Brazil since 1999, where she proudly describes herself as a “Brazilianized French-Portuguese.”

Growing up near a forest, Carmita was fascinated by the scents of nature, especially the smell of trees. Her father, who taught her to recognize aromatic plants, inspired her love for fragrances and led her toward a career in perfumery. After five years of training, she received a job offer from Firmenich in Brazil.

Having witnessed the development of the fragrance industry in Brazil over the years, Carmita now creates scents that embody her three key values: freshness, comfort, and sensuality. She draws inspiration from the natural beauty and diversity of Brazil, where everything feels like a journey to her. For Carmita, nature is the greatest perfumer of all, and she loves the scent of mint in streams, the aroma of olive trees, and the smell of basil when it rains.

Carmita is deeply passionate about her work and dedicates herself to creating unique and memorable fragrances. She believes that perfumery is an art that allows her to express creativity and connect with people on an emotional level. For her, the joy of perfumery lies in the ability to evoke memories, emotions, and sensations through the power of scent.
